Welcome Michael Grey to the podcast!
When he's not coaching and supporting people's growth as a director on the HR team at Faegre Drinker, he's bringing the Twin Cities together for his wildly popular dance night, The Assortment, which just celebrated its 10 year anniversary.
Michael talks about his strengths, such as agility and "stick-to-itiveness," and how they impact his work and approach to life. Plus, he shares openly about his mental health journey that led to unexpected diagnoses at age 45, and the ways he's making neurodivergence a superpower.
In this conversation, Michael talks about the importance of being selfish and claiming what you need, while also being open to recalibrating and making sure you're finding balance in your life.
Jenna talks about self-leadership, encourages us to reflect on our own agility and reminds us to unapologetically name what we we want to see in our multi-dimensional life.

She gives us a creepy exercise where we talk to ourselves in the mirror, plus she shares anecdotes about strangers who’ve come into her life recently, and also tells us how to hack the universal algorithm.

Jenna welcomes two fun guys (or funghis?) to the podcast!
Frank Keck and Jeff Miner are here to show you what it's like to prioritize joy and not take yourself so seriously. They give you tips on shifting your mindset, and easy ways you can allow for more fun and playfulness in your life.
Today's episode reminds us that joy is a choice, and it's completely within our power to choose it. Whether it's in the movies you watch, the people you surround yourself with or the "pattern interrupters" you give yourself - it's all within your grasp!
Plus, Jenna tells us about a throwback movie that made her laugh, a poolside encounter that made her think about values and other field notes from her leisurely birthday month. Yes, she gets a whole month.

Welcome to season four! Jenna takes us in a time machine to her hometown public library in 1989 to prove a point about our early interests. She asks, "what really matters to you?" and shares her story about becoming a shell. And not in a cute Marcel the Shell way.
Jenna urges us to stop compartmentalizing parts of ourselves and instead have the courage to pave our own path. YOU are the one who gets to choose your OWN definition of success, silly goose.
She encourages us to get clear on our values and how we want to feel. But don't worry if you don't know your values right now...that's what this WHOLE ASS SEASON is about!

Out with the old, in with the YOU

My name is Jenna Washnieski and I'm a leadership coach helping you discover more confidence in leadership and more balance in life.

I've spent over a decade in or working alongside executive leadership, and have developed a bunch of strategies (and some big opinions) about leadership, workplace culture and the importance of creating your own definitions of balance and success.

This podcast is for anyone who knows deep down they're designed for something bigger or more in their lives, and are ready to figure out what the heck it is and what's stopping them.

Just because this work is challenging doesn't mean it can't be fun!
