43. In With...Vitamin H

Tuesday Feb 25, 2025

Tuesday Feb 25, 2025

In an unscientific and completely imaginary blood test, Jenna diagnoses herself with a deficiency of hope, aka Vitamin H. She speculates that we all may having more of a Vitamin H deficiency that we realize.
Symptoms may include: feeling stuck, comparing ourselves with other people who seem to have it "figured out" and jumping to big conclusions based on unfounded assumptions.
Jenna shares the concept of "learned hopefulness," sends a shout out to a baby at HyVee and encourages us to reflect on what's giving us hope.

Let's welcome connecter-extraordinaire Marc Shaffer to the podcast!
In this conversation you'll be inspired by Marc's glass-half-full approach to life and the priority he puts on staying connected with people. As a financial planner, he is especially talented at helping people get clear on what's important. Because of this, he is extra attuned to creating a meaningful and vast life for himself.
But even when we are glass-half-full people, we still encounter challenges. Marc shares his personal experiences with mental health and reminds us of the ways we can take care of ourselves (and let others take care of us, too!)
Marc reminds us not to forget all the blessings in front of us that are easy to take for granted, and Jenna encourages us to make our own gratitude list.

My name is Jenna Washnieski and I'm a leadership coach helping you find more confidence in leadership and more balance in life.

I've spent over a decade in or working alongside executive leadership, and have developed a bunch of strategies (and some big opinions) about leadership, workplace culture and the importance of creating your own definition of balance.

This podcast is for anyone who knows deep down they're designed for something bigger or more in their lives, and are ready to figure out what the heck it is and what's stopping them.

Just because this work is challenging doesn't mean it can't be fun!
